ADVANTAGES
|
|
There are a number of reasons why modular
homes are the first choice of our consumers. Modular homes
are not taking a back seat to stick built homes anymore.
Modular homes are built stronger, less expensive, quicker to
complete, and have built-in equity. They also have
the same styles, amenities, and flexible design options as
any other home.
What is a Modular Home?
A home, factory constructed in a controlled environment that
is built with quality materials and components just like a
stick built home. Modular homes are built equal to or exceeding your state and local building
codes that are inspected by factory, state, and third party inspectors to
guaranty quality. They are built in pieces or "modules" using approximately 30% more
lumber than stick built. They are connected to a foundation
and to each other, to finish a one, two, or three story home
with any number of modules. Modular homes appreciate, appraise, and resell at the same rate
as or even better than
stick built homes. They can be used to build office buildings, garages, duplexes, condos, and townhouses. |

STICK
BUILT vs. MODULAR HOME |
|
Controlled
environment
Not only are there more inspections and higher quality
control, our building materials are never exposed to the
elements. This leaves the modular homeowner with a cleaner
home and a far lower risk for mold, mildew, and pest
infestation.
Price of Materials
Your quote may be adjusted as the building process continues
if you choose to have your home stick built. This is usually
caused by the rise of the materials it takes to build your
home. Our quotes never change because of the rise of
materials. We stock our materials and buy in bulk, giving
the consumer a better price. Also all of our materials are
stored away from the elements, preventing rot and animal
infestation.
Flexible in design
Choose from hundreds of floor plans or let us design one
just for you. You can choose from a Ranch home with two,
three, four, or higher plus modules, a Cape Cod with
multiple dormers and Palladium windows, or a Two Story home,
both traditional and modern. Chalet homes or more
contemporary looking homes can also be built modular. It’s
not just a square box any more.
Completion Time
As they say, time is money, and with modular
homes is where you can save both. Not only does it take far
less to build and set a modular than it does to build a
stick built home, it's also less expensive. Would you rather
wait 3 to 4 weeks to see your home built from the ground up
or see it placed in front of you and ready to go in a few
days? Building homes is truly an art, but what makes modular
homes tower above the rest is the amount of time it takes to
have the home complete and ready for the buyer to move in.
10 Year Warranty
With a home from us you'll receive a 10 year
structural warranty right from the start. In fact, any
product, may that be a garage or even a condo, it will come
with a 10 year structural warranty. Also, our homes are
continuously inspected throughout the entire building
process and not just after each phase, giving you a safe and
secure home with a great warranty.
Tighter, Better Sealed
We build the modules from the inside out,
unlike stick built homes. This gives us an advantage of
sealing most electrical outlets, vents, and other potential
places to lose energy with fire and air resistant sealant.
Studies show in a wind test that this makes a modular home
"tighter", meaning less air passes through, lessening the
chance of weather damage and cutting the cost of heating
bills.
Floor Plans
A high cost in building a home is having
it designed by engineers, usually outsourced in a stick
built environment. With our modular homes, we have dedicated
and hard working engineers in-house working on every home we
build. This eliminates the cost of having the builder
outsource for the floor plans, adjustments, and additions to
the home.
Employees
Our company provides a fully staffed
service, engineering, and support department. There's no
need to dial tons of numbers to find answers to any
questions you may have. This also reduces the cost of having
a 3rd party engineering firm create the plans for your new
home.

MODULAR HOME vs. MOBILE HOME |
|
What is a Mobile Home?
A home, factory built on a steel frame, titled as an
automobile. These homes are built to HUD code. Mobile or
Manufactured homes do not appreciate or gain value, they
depreciate over time. Sometimes referred to as a double wide
or even "modular", but they are not a true modular home.
Exceeding the Standards!
Our homes are built with higher insulation values and are
more energy efficient than most mobile homes. We provide a
larger selection of high quality products such as doors,
windows, cabinets, etc.
Over Time
The value of a mobile home depreciates in value over
time, but with a modular home it does the exact opposite,
the value increases. A home is one of the largest and most
important investments a person or family is going to make in
their lifetime. Why would you want that investment to
depreciate?
Spacious and Customizable
Design is a huge factor when it comes to building a home for
a customer. Mobile home designs are pretty basic and very
much similar. They limit the products and materials that are
included in the finished product.
The question you may ask yourself is, "Why
a PBS home?" The answer is simple.

your home from the time its built in our climate controlled
facility, to the time it arrives at its final destination.
Even after arriving at its location, the home is guaranteed

to call us and speak with our customer service department.
