Advantages of Modular |
| |
|
Which home would you rather live in? |
 |
|
 |
| |
| |
There are a number of
reasons why modular homes are the first choice of educated
consumers. Modular homes are not taking a back seat to stick
built homes anymore. Modular homes are built stronger, less
expensive, quicker to complete, and have built-in equity.
Modular homes also have the same styles, amenities, and
flexible design options as any other home. Let's look at
some more reasons… |
|

| |
Built in a controlled
environment
Not only are there more
inspections and higher quality control, our building
materials are never exposed to the elements. This leaves the
modular homeowner with a cleaner home, and a far lower
risk for mold, mildew and pest infestation. Can a stick
builder guaranty this? |
|
| |
| |
Flexibility in design
Choose from hundreds of floor plans or let us design one
just for you. You can choose from Ranch homes of two, three,
four or more modules, Cape Cods with multiple dormers and
Palladium windows, or Two Story homes, both traditional and
modern. Chalet homes or more contemporary looking homes can
also be built modular. It’s not just a square box any
more. Take a look at our specs. |

MODULAR HOME vs. MOBILE HOME
Modular Home
- A home, factory
constructed in a controlled environment.
- Built with quality
materials and components just like a stick built home.
- Built equal to or
exceeding your state and local building codes.
- Inspected by
factory, state, and third party inspectors to guaranty
quality.
- Built in pieces or
"modules" using approximately 30% more lumber than stick
built, and are connected to a foundation and to each
other, to finish a one, two, or three story home with
any number of modules.
- Appreciates,
appraises, and resells at the same rate as stick built
homes.
- Office buildings,
garages, duplexes, condos, and townhouses can also be
modular.

Mobile / Manufactured
/ HUD Home
A
home, factory built on a steel frame, titled as an
automobile. These homes are built to HUD code. Mobile or
Manufactured homes do not appreciate or gain value, they
depreciate over time. Sometimes referred to as a double
wide or even "modular", but they are not a true
modular home. |

BENEFITS OF MODULAR
-
Modular home
construction offers substantial benefits over
conventional “stick-built” construction.
-
Modular homes are built
similar to conventional “stick-built” homes with all the
same materials, styles, amenities, and flexible
design options; the primary difference is where they
are built – modular homes are built in a climate
controlled environment.
-
Modular construction
will save you TIME because while the home is
built in our factory, your general contractor
simultaneously begins the site work and completes the
foundation.
-
Modular construction
will save you MONEY because the savings in time
results in savings in interest expense from your
construction loan and the cost of carrying an additional
residence during the construction process. Also, the
cost of a modular home is sometimes 10 to 20 percent
less than a similar “stick-built” home, reflecting the
volume purchasing power of modular factories, which are
able to buy materials in large quantities, at lower
prices.
-
Climate-controlled,
quality-controlled, construction results in minimal
weather delays. Building materials are protected
from exposure to the elements, and offer greater
quality through standardized procedures and on-going
factory based inspections. “Stick-built” homes can take
months to complete, often compromising the materials
with wear, tear, and warping caused by exposure to wind,
rain, snow, and extremes in temperature. Modular homes
are generally weather- tight the day the home is set on
the foundation, which allows the materials to stay dry,
minimizing potential problems with mold and mildew.
-
Modular homes contain
more building materials than comparable
“stick-built” homes, which provides added strength for
transport and the crane set.
-
Our modular homes
come with a 10-year warranty on the structure, along
with the standard one-year total warranty. Many of our
product suppliers offer additional warranties. Most
builders of “stick-built” homes only offer a one-year
total warranty.
-
Modular homes are financed & appraised the same
as conventional “stick-built” homes.
